I love what you do and I'm not trying to be a critic but does it matter which direction something is bolted together in a restoration? Case in point upon disassembly the bolts holding the base plate on the nuts were on top, but during reassembly the nuts were on bottom of base plate. Just curious.

I love the herringbone pattern you make from plywood. Who knew that something so beautiful could be made out of plywood? I’ve heard that the devil is in the details. In this case, the victory is in the details. The beautiful upgrade from the herringbone wood is gorgeous.

I have an old Swiss Army Knife I found a decade ago somewhere. It's been sitting on a closet shelf since then. It's very hard to open the blades and tools. Today I added mineral oil to it, and now it springs open. I've been able to scrape some rust off, but the blades still look, not rusty, exactly, but with black or dark gray spots. Do you know whether I use rust remover to get that dark gray-to-black splotchy look off?

Amazing restoration video! At 26:32 - I pushed the piston back into the sleeve like you did and when took it apart next time one of the seals was twisted and damaged because it somehow caught on the edge of the sleeve while inserting. I then discovered what the round plastic ring included with my LP was for - it was the piston insertion tool!!! Really worth getting one of them to avoid the risk as opposed ot trying to figure out why my LP isn't pulling great shots and having to disassemble again to find damaged piston seals! Also, in pre-millenium LPs isn't the group's shower screen/filter seal flat at the bottom and round at the top like in new post-m? Many people don't notice and install them incorrectly.
